The seamer has been withdrawn from the Sussex squad to face Kent in the Bob Willis Trophy and is in contention to play in Southampton
England have recalled Ollie Robinson into their training squad ahead of the second Test against Pakistan at The Ageas Bowl.
The seamer has been withdrawn from the Sussex squad to face Kent in the Bob Willis Trophy, starting on Saturday (August 8).
Robinson had been part of the Test bubble ahead of the Pakistan series and was included in the squad for the second match but was eventually overlooked and released to his county.
He took 8-65 as Sussex beat Hampshire in their opening match of the red-ball season at Hove.
And that display has led to him returning to the squad ahead of the second match of the series, which begins on Thursday (August 13).
The 26-year-old will be tested for COVID-19 on Saturday and then again on Monday before being permitted to participate in full training.
James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Jofra Archer, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood and Sam Curran are already competing to make-up the fast-bowling battery.
