Nepalese seamer Anjali Chand has claimed the record for best bowling figures in a T20 international after helping her country thrash the Maldives at the South Asian Games.

Chand returned 6-0 from 13 balls bowled, dismissing all of her victims for ducks.

Her final three wickets consituted a hat-trick.

The Maldives were skittled for just 16 in 10.1 overs, as only two batters made runs, before Nepal chased down the required total in five balls.

Chand's figures are the best in any men's or women's T20I, surpassing the 6-7 returned by India's Deepak Chahar against Bangladesh earlier in 2019 and the 6-3 taken by Malaysia's Mas Elysa against China in January.
