England batting coach Mark Ramprakash says he has been relieved of his position.
Ramprakash revealed on social media that he will not be involved in the side's Ashes series against Australia this summer after more than four years with the national setup.
The former England batsman wrote on Twitter: "I've just been informed that I will not be involved in the Ashes series.
"It's been a huge privilege to support the team over the last 5 years. Id like to wish all the staff & players the very best of luck for the future".
Ramprakash had served in the backroom staff since 2014 but England's recent lack of consistency with the bat in the Test arena, where the ex-Surrey and Middlesex man's responsibilities has primarily been focused, had seen scrutiny on his position intensify.
"Mark Ramprakash has been left with a very vulnerable batting line-up in the Test matches," Nasser Hussain told Sky Sports.
"I reiterate: coaches don't go out and bat for you. A new batting coach doesn't make our top three look any better overnight."
