The Australian hits an unbeaten 147 from 79 balls and puts on 207 with opening partner Hilton Cartwright for Melbourne Stars against Sydney Sixers
Marcus Stoinis was the toast of the Big Bash League after hammering the highest individual score in the competition's history.
The Australian allrounder thrashed an unbeaten 147 from 79 balls in the Melbourne Stars' clash with Sydney Sixers.
Stoinis' innings included 14 fours and eight sixes during an astonishing performance.
D'Arcy Short's 122 not out in 2018 was the previous holder of the record but 30-year-old breezed past the milestone with the joint-13th biggest score in all T20 history.
He put on 207 with opening partner Hilton Cartwright (59), the highest stand by any pair in nine editions of the Big Bash.
That partnership is now seventh on the all-time list, level with Joe Denly and Daniel Bell-Drummond's equivalent effort for Kent in 2017.
The Stars eventually finished on 219 for 1, marginally behind the two biggest in history by Hobart Hurricanes (223 for 8) and Melbourne Renegades (222 for 4) both recorded in 2017.
Sixers left-armer Ben Dwarshuis was severely punished, finishing with figures of 0-61 - the most expensive ever registered in Australia's premier T20 competition.
