The England batsman is expected to take his place in an unchanged side for the Headingley clash with Australia
England's Jason Roy is fit for the third Ashes Test against Australia after passing a concussion check on the eve of the match.
The Surrey batsman was struck on the helmet by Marcus Trescothick during a net session on Tuesday but has was adjudged to be fit enough to continue.
Following an additional assessment from the England medical staff on Wednesday morning Roy has been deemed fine to face the Baggy Green in Leeds.
Australia's Marnus Labuschagne was also hit during practice ahead of the game but is expected to take his place in the side as a replacement for Steve Smith.
Smith was forced to retire hurt after being struck on the back of the neck by Jofra Archer during the second innings of the second Test at Lord's and has been ruled out of the match.
Though he did resume his innings following two separate concussion tests, the 30-year-old will play no part in the next chapter of an intriguing series.
Though Roy has been passed fit, he is under pressure to improve on a return which sees him average just 10 in four innings - with a highest score of 28.

Coach Trevor Bayliss believes Roy's future at Test level might be in the middle order, but there are no plans in place to make an alteration for the third Test.
"Personally, I think Jason probably is suited to the middle order," Bayliss said. "We've selected him at the top of the order because of his form in the one-day team, but it's obviously not quite the same as opening the batting in a white ball game.
"We think we've got the best seven batters in England available to us at the moment. Whether we can change the order round and make it any better, I'm not sure. But we'll certainly have a discussion about it. Just because they're not scoring runs doesn't mean it's not the right or wrong spot for them.
"At the start of Jason's one-day career, he missed out a few times as well and it took him a little while to get the hang of it. So the possibility of him playing again at the top of the order doesn't really concern us. We know what he can do when he does play well.
"At this stage, we do expect that same batting order. We have been moving players around over the past couple of years. I'd like to see a little bit of continuity around the team we have."
