What’s the match?

Rajasthan Royals take on Delhi Capitals in match seven of the 2021 IPL.

When is it taking place?

The game is scheduled for 7.30pm IST (3pm BST) on Thursday, April 15, 2021.

Where is the match being played?

Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium is hosting the game.

Who’s got the form?

Rajasthan Royals were edged out in their opening game by Punjab Kings, losing by four runs after a thrilling run-chase in Mumbai.

Chetan Sakariya was the outstanding performer with the ball, finishing with 3 for 31 though their opponents did set 222 to win.

Sanju Samson recorded the first century of the competition with a fine 119 but failure to take a single off the penultimate ball and give Chris Morris the strike, which would have left four to win off the final ball, was a key moment.

Samson sliced the ball to Deepak Hooda to condemn Royals to an agonising defeat.

Capitals, meanwhile, began in winning fashion on day two after Prithvi Shaw (72) and Shikhar Dhawan's (85) opening stand of 138 saw them across the line against Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets.

That run-chase followed a fine display with the ball from Chris Woakes, who in the absence of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje claimed 3 for 18 from three overs to restrict CSK to 188 for 7.

What are the odds?

Dafabet have Delhi Capitals as favourites for the clash at 6/10, with Rajasthan Royals available at 13/10.

But it is Royals who are favourites to hit the most sixes during the contest at 19/20, with the opponents rated at 23/20.

In the powerplay stakes, you can back Capitals at 17/20 to have the most runs from the first six overs while Royals are at 21/20.

Who are the ones to watch?

How Royals attempt to cover off the loss of Ben Stokes will be fascinating, with fellow-countryman Liam Livingstone - the third-highest ranked Englishman in the men's T20 Player Index left in the competition or South African David Miller in contention to come into the XI.

After a period in quarantine, Capitals welcome back their own Proteas contingent in the form of Rabada and Nortje, who were key to their run to last year's final.

What's the team news?

Royals have lost the services of another of their England stars, with Stokes out of the rest of the tournament after suffering a broken finger in defeat to Punjab Kings.

The Durham allrounder appeared to suffer the blow while taking the catch to dismiss Chris Gayle and will miss the remainder of the competition.

Jofra Archer has returned to training but there is no timeline regarding his return from hand and elbow problems.

Capitals have Rabada and Nortje available after they joined up with the squad late having represented South Africa.

Axar Patel remains unavailable for last year's runners-up as he continues to recover from a bout of Covid-19.
