Australia captain Meg Lanning will play for her international coach Matthew Mott after joining Welsh Fire ahead of next year’s inaugural edition of The Hundred.

The signing of Lanning was announced on Sunday evening during a break from the men’s draft, with each team announcing a new recruit.

England batter Tammy Beaumont has joined London Spirit, where she will play alongside her England captain Heather Knight, while Australia wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy joins Northern Superchargers, having represented Yorkshire Diamonds in last season’s Kia Super League.

Elsewhere, the New Zealand pair of Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates will play for Birmingham Phoenix and Southern Brave.

The South African duo of Lizelle Lee and Dane van Niekerk will play for Manchester Originals and Oval Invincibles.

Sophie Molineux, who played a key role during the summer’s Women’s Ashes, has signed for Trent Rockets, where she will play alongside Nat Sciver and Katherine Brunt.
