Yorkshire have announced contract extensions for seven players ahead of the start of the new season.

Harry Brook, Ben Coad, Matthew Fisher, Will Fraine, Tom Loten, Duanne Olivier and Johnny Tattersall have all penned fresh terms.

Twenty-two-year-old batsman Brook and seamer Fisher have signed deals keeping them at Headingley until at least the end of the 2024 season.

"It’s a real honour to play for the county that I’ve represented from an early age and I believe we have got a strong squad that can really challenge for silverware," said Brook.

Fisher added: "I’m very excited to see what this group of players can achieve in the next few years and it’s going to be great to be a part of it."

Coad, the 27-year-old seam bowler, who has 157 first-class wickets to his name, has signed on until October 2023, along with batter Fraine and wicketkeeper Tattersall.

Director of cricket Martyn Moxon said of Coad: "He’s had tremendous success in County Championship cricket over the last few years and is one of the best bowlers in that format of the game. I’m delighted that we’ve secured his signature for the next three seasons.

"He’s got ambition to play for England, quite rightly so. All he can do is keep taking wickets and if he continues the form he’s shown over the last few years, he can’t be ignored."

Former South Africa seamer Olivier will remain at one of Yorkshire's overseas players until at least the end of next term, after adding another year to his deal.

Since joining in 2019, Olivier has taken 57 wickets in 18 first-class matches for Yorkshire.

"I’ve enjoyed my time in England so far and believe there’s a lot more to come from me in the next few years," he said. "We have a really strong squad who I believe can challenge for silverware and I’m really excited to be a part of this."

Academy graduate Loten has only played four times for Yorkshire since his 2019 debut but has been handed another 12 months to impress, running until the end of the 2022 season.
