Hampshire have confirmed that Scott Currie, Ajeet Dale and Tom Scriven have all extended their rookie contracts.

The extensions mean that the trio will now stay at the Ageas Bowl until at least the end of 2021.

Seamers Currie and Dale both made their first-class debuts in the Bob Willis Trophy, both claiming wickets. Currie picked up three on debut against Kent, meanwhile Dale ended the season with four wickets and a bowling average of 18.

Currie also has experience with England under-19s and impressed last winter - following on from a successful summer in 2019, helping Hampshire's second team to championship success.

Scriven, who is a promising allrounder, took three wickets in the Bob Willis Trophy and also struck his first half-century in the shortened season.

Hampshire's director of cricket, Giles Clarke, said: “Ajeet, Scott and Tom are three really exciting prospects for the future and they’ve all shown their potential this summer. This extension of their rookie contracts will aid their development, allowing them to continue their hard work over the next 12 months.”
