The Midlands side have recruited Tom Abell, Daniel Bell-Drummond and Miles Hammond during the re-draft
Birmingham Phoenix have completed their squad for the inaugural edition of The Hundred with the signing of a trio of English talent.
Tom Abell, Daniel Bell-Drummond and Miles Hammond join the Midlands side in place of released players Cameron Delport, Ravi Bopara and Riki Wessels.
Somerset’s Abell, a batting all-rounder, has featured in both the Vitality Blast and Bangladesh Premier League (Rangpur Raiders) and averaged 32.42 in the former in 2020.
Opener Bell-Drummond, meanwhile, starred for Kent in last season’s Vitality Blast. The 27-year old scored a competition-leading 423 runs, with an average of 42.3 and a strike rate of 154.94, and crunched a huge 53 fours. Bell-Drummond adds immense firepower to a top-order which already includes Liam Livingstone and New Zealand international Kane Williamson.
Gloucestershire batsman Miles Hammond completes the 16-man squad and will team up with county team mate, Benny Howell, at Edgbaston.
Several England internationals will represent Phoenix, including Moeen Ali (captain), Chris Woakes, and Dom Sibley, while Adam Zampa and Shaheen Afridi join Williamson as the overseas representatives.
