The ECB say there have been positive discussions about the rescheduling of England Women's summer fixture list, but no formal solution has yet been found.
Series against India and South Africa were thrown into doubt as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, and the ECB is working with the BCCI and Cricket South Africa in an attempt to organise a triangular series in September.
The competition would take place behind closed doors at one of England's bio-secure venues, but it is still in the planning stage.
There is increasing confidence behind the scenes at the governing body that an agreement is not far away, however, and could be confirmed this week.
In a statement on Monday, the ECB's chief executive Tom Harrison said: "Chief amongst our priorities is to build on our commitment to support and grow women’s cricket and at the elite level discussions continue to progress to determine the best and safest way to host a tri-series against India and South Africa."
Meanwhile, England's men will take on Ireland in three white-ball internationals, while the fixture list for the visit of Pakistan has also been confirmed.
Three Tests will take place from August 5, prior to three T20Is, which will all be staged at Emirates Old Trafford.
