The former Australia head coach stood down from that role following the ball-tampering scandal and is the latest coaching appointment ahead of the competition next year
Darren Lehmann has been named the coach of the Leeds-based side for the inaugural year of The Hundred in 2020.
The former Australia head coach has been out of a job since standing down from that role in the aftermath of the ball-tampering scandal, but will now be involved in the 100-ball competition next year.
Lehmann, 49, has already tasted success in the English county game having led Yorkshire to the County Championship title in 2001, and is now hoping for further success in the domestic circuit.
"It's great to be back," Lehmann said.
"I hoped I'd get the chance when I heard about it and I'm so excited the opportunity came along.
"It is going to be special to get back up north where I have so many good memories from my playing days.
"To go back there to coach in The Hundred is exciting and hopefully we can have some success. I know how passionate the fans are and they will demand that we play an entertaining brand of cricket and win."
Lehmann joins fellow Australians Shane Warne, Simon Katich, Andrew McDonald as coaches of men's teams for The Hundred.
