Australian allrounder Dan Christian is to join Barbados Tridents for the remainder of the Caribbean Premier League.
By signing up with Jason Holder’s franchise, Christian will be combining with his Nottinghamshire teammate Alex Hales, who was the team’s first pick in this year’s draft.
Both men, however, will be at Edgbaston on Saturday to represent the Outlaws on T20 Blast Finals Day.
Christian is replacing big-hitting Pakistan batsman Asif Ali, who has been forced to leave the competition due to domestic commitments.
In Christian, though, Barbados have recruited a veteran of the T20 game; he has played 293 matches in the format, with stints in England, the Indian Premier League, the Pakistan Super League and the Big Bash.
In 2017, he was part of the Trinbago Knight Riders squad that claimed the CPL title.
