Mujeeb ur Rahman returns for a second stint with the Big Bash franchise after finishing with 12 wickets and a league-best economy rate of 6.04 in 2018-19
The Afghanistan spin pair of Mujeeb ur Rahman and Zahir Khan have signed for Brisbane Heat.
Mujeeb returns for a second stint with the Big Bash franchise after finishing with 12 wickets and a league-best economy rate of 6.04 in 2018-19.
He is joined by left-arm wristspinner Zahir, who has been on the books of Lancashire Lightning and Rajasthan Royals in the past.
“I had so much fun playing at Brisbane Heat in my first year that I really wanted to return when the opportunity came,’’ Mujeeb said.
“They are great guys and I hope we can push for the finals this season.”
The teenager encouraged his international teammate to join him in Brisbane.
Zahir said: “This is a very exciting thing for me, especially to be joining the team where my good friend Mujeeb played last year. He told me great things about Brisbane Heat, so I am looking forward to this challenge so much.”
