England enjoyed victory in an unofficial warm-up fixture ahead of the World T20, beating South Africa by 17 runs in Antigua.

Tammy Beaumont's 48 was the foundation upon which England reached 140 for eight from their 20 overs after losing the toss, with Heather Knight making 25.

Sune Luus and Shabnim Ismail both claimed two wickets as South Africa restricted their opponents to a manageable target but their top order struggled in the chase.

WOMEN'S WORLD T20 HUB

Only Lizelle Lee (33 from 28 balls) and Chloe Tyron (32 from 25) managed meaningful contributions as England's bowlers took control.

Both Lindsay Smith and Anya Shrubsole returned figures of 3-14 as South Africa were bowled out for 123.

England's first official warm-up game is set to take place on Sunday against Australia.

Knight's team begin their World T20 campaign against Sri Lanka on November 10.
