Lynn accepts code of conduct charge

Brisbane Heat batsman was wrongfully given out caught behind against Adelaide Strikers

Brisbane Heat batsman Chris Lynn has accepted a charge of breaching Cricket Australia's code of conduct.

Lynn admitted the level one charge following his reaction to his dismissal by Rashid Khan during the New Year's Eve game against Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash.

The Australian was given out caught behind to spinner Rashid Khan, though replays later showed he had not made connection with the ball, instead hitting the ground.

The offence relates to the "abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings".

Nicole Bolton, the Perth Scorchers batter, has also admitted her guilt for a similar offence.

Bolton was charged for showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during her side's Women's Big Bash match against Sydney Sixers.

The BBL said on its website that both players had accepted "sanctions" without the need for a formal hearing.

Meanwhile, Melbourne Renegades veteran Brad Hogg has been cleared of any wrongdoing after also being charged for a code of conduct breach.

Hogg was accused of giving David Willey a send-off during the game between the Renegades and the Scorchers last week but denied the charge.

A hearing, led by match referee Bob Stratford, determined he was not guilty.
