WICKET - Kent v Essex

Kent have lost two more wickets in three balls and are heading for a three-day defeat. Alex Blake's mistimed cut against Harbhajan Singh sailed into the hands of Chambers at backward point and then, to his first delivery, Azhar Mahmood drove a good length ball from Graham Napier to short extra cover where Jaik Mickleburgh took a sharp low catch. At 69-8 Kent lead by only 22 runs.
