Rain stopped play at Edgbaston with Surrey on 127-3. Heavy showers are forecast and it has been raining on Broad Street, away to our left for some time. There has been work on the outfield since the rain ruined game against Sussex two weeks ago with gravel-filled slits being put in to improve the drainage at the Pavilion End
