Close Of Play - Kent v Glamorgan

Kent are 310 for four at stumps. An unbroken fifth-wicket stand worth 200 to date between Darren Stevens (120*) and Brendan Nash (110*) helped the hosts dominate the opening day. James Harris, the former England Under-19 bowler, bagged four for 80, but otherwise the Glamorgan attack rarely threatened as Kent made hay. Sam Northeast chipped in to the home total with an eye-catching 52.
