Chris Rogers' decision to take the new ball at the start of the 85th over has been vindicated immediately with the wicket of Steven Croft, caught behind by John Simpson off Tim Murtagh for 78. A stand of 176 between him and Ashwell Prince has been broken, and Lancashire are 231-4.
