A dull draw in Canterbury ended with the floodlights ablaze and a modest fourth-day crowd aslumber as Kent limped to 112 for one after 43 overs in pursuit of a victory target of 262 from a potential 60 overs. Home skipper Rob Key hit an unbeaten 54, while Ben Harmison kept him company for two hours for 27 not out. Kent banked six points and remain unbeaten, while Northamptonshire travel home with seven.
