Prior and Panesar face West Indies

Matt Prior and Monty Panesar will both face West Indies when they play the first match of their tour against Sussex at Hove on Saturday.

Prior will continue his build-up for the first Test at Lord's, which starts on May 17, having played in last week's Championship game against Warwickshire. He is also due to play champions Lancashire at Hove as well from next Wednesday.

Skipper Mike Yardy is rested for the three-day fixture so Chris Nash will captain the side while all-rounder Kirk Wernars, left-armer Chris Liddle and batsman Matt Machan also get an opportunity to impress.

Sussex (from): Nash (capt), Amjad Khan, Brown, Gatting, Naveed Arif, Liddle, Machan, Panesar, Prior (wk), Wernars, Wells.
