Morgan commits to Middlesex

By Mark Pennell

England batsman Eoin Morgan has committed his long-term future in the domestic game to Middlesex having penned a new contract extension with the county.

The 26-year-old left-hander - a part of the Middlesex set-up for almost a decade - is also one of only ten players to secure an ECB central contract for 2013.

In announcing Morgan’s new deal, Middlesex chief executive Vinny Codrington said: “With the exceptional talent he
possesses, Eoin is quite rightly regarded as one of the most gifted batsmen in world cricket and we are delighted we can continue to call upon his services whenever he is available to us.

“Middlesex are hugely proud of the success we have had in recent years in producing England cricketers and there is no better example of this than Eoin Morgan.

“Securing the long-term future of a player of Eoin’s calibre is yet another example of our commitment to ensuring a
successful period for the club in the future, following the recent addition of other high profile players to the Middlesex ranks.”
