Gloucestershire return for Sexstone
By Richard Latham
Colin Sexstone has rejoined Gloucestershire as a co-opted member of the club’s Executive Board. Sexstone was chief executive during the glory years of 1999 and 2000 when Gloucestershire won five one-day trophies in two seasons under current director of cricket John Bracewell.
After leaving the club he served as chief executive and then chairman of Bristol City Football Club and is a high-profile figure in the local business world.
Sexstone said: “I am really pleased to be joining Gloucestershire’s Board at such an exciting time for the club. The redevelopment of the County Ground gives the club a real chance to grow as a business and compete with the bigger counties. I will do everything I possibly can to help achieve those plans.”
Also co-opted onto the Executive Board with immediate effect is Anne Allin, currently head of marketing for Swire Hotels UK. Bristol-born Allin has more than 20 years experience at senior levels in marketing, and she and her family have a great passion for cricket.
Gloucestershire chairman Rex Body said: “Anne and Colin will bring different, but extensive and very important skills and experiences to the club’s Executive Board.
“I’m delighted that they both enthusiastically accepted when I invited them to join us at a significant time in the club’s development.”
