Lancashire release Naqaash Tahir

Lancashire have released fast bowler Naqaash Tahir after only one season on the staff at Old Trafford.

The Red Rose county have opted not to offer the 28-year-old former Warwickshire a new deal after he played only one Clydesdale Bank 40 match this season and did not do enough in the Second XI due to form and injury.

Cricket director Mike Watkinson said: “We would like to thank Naqaash for his contribution to the squad during his stay at Old Trafford, and would like to wish him well for the future.”
