Jon Harwood spent much of his childhood watching cricket on TV despite being told to go outside and play.

After meeting Dan at university, he was consistently overlooked for selection by the college cricket team, so concentrated his efforts on drinking in the pavilion.

During a spell living in the Cook Islands, Harwood was selected as part of a 24-man squad to face an Australian team, which he insists counts as an international call-up.

Despite dodgy knees, a chronic lack of ability and a penchant for self-loathing he turns out for the Headliners CC in Sussex and has a go with both bat and ball.

A journalist by trade, Harwood has just about mastered the jingle machine but blames Hendo for never having got the hang of ball-by-ball commentary.
