The last two balls of Chris Wood's final over, the 39th, are hit for four by Woakes - to fine leg and square third man - and Warwicks are 238-6, needing seven from the final over. Kabir Ali to bowl it

Ian Bell goes, for an 81-ball 81, well held by a running Michael Carberry at deep square leg off the final ball of the 37th over off David Griffiths. Warwicks now 218-6, needing 27 off three overs. Ian Blackwell joins Woakes

Four overs left, and Warwicks need 39 at 206-5. Clarke was bowled by Wood for 24, the left-arm seamer's third wicket in an impressive performance, but Bell then hit two fours off Kabir and Chris Woakes added a third boundary from the final ball of the 36th

Warwicks scored only 24 in their 4-over batting powerplay, compared to Hants' 41, but Bell and Clarke are still there on 61 and 22 respectively as the Bears reach 191-4 after 34 overs

Ervine was well caught at the wicket off Darren Maddy in the 39th over, having scored 57 off 55 balls (1x6, 6x4), but Katich finished 35 not out as Hampshire totalled 244-5 from their 40 overs. Pretty even, but Warwicks coped quite well with Wright's absence

Wright's injury has left Warwicks short of the services of their main death bowler and Woakes, Carter and now Maddy are struggling to contain Ervine and Katich. In the 39th over, Hants are 238-4

McKenzie had helped Adams to put on 57 for the third wicket when, on 19, he tried to heave Ian Blackwell to leg and was bowled. Hants 127-3 in the 23rd over

Half-way in Hampshire's innings and they have been pegged back a little bit to 111 for two from 20 overs.

Carter began his farewell appearance with a wide to James Vince and was then clipped for four past mid on by Michael Carberry.

It's a beautiful day here at Lord's and a perfect way to end the season. It's also Neil Carter's last match before he retires from county cricket although the England-qualified South African is now qualified to play for Scotland so it might not be the last we see of him on these shores.

Match Drawn - Nottinghamshire finish the season in a disappointing fifth place after they failed, by two wickets, to bowl Warwicks out on the last day. The new champions ended on 290-8, having been set 421 to win.

Notts have ten overs (and a second new ball) in which to take 2 wkts to finish in third place - Warwicks 244-8

Warwicks are now 199-5 with Woakes 68 and Blackwell 30. Their journey down to Lord's might have to wait a while as Notts will want to go to the end in search of these last five wickets.

Last knockings of the season and there's still plenty to play for with Notts needing to claim five wickets to pick up the sizeable third placed prize money. Warwicks 178-5 with 30 overs to go.

Warwicks are 64-3 with Luke Fletcher's 3-20 accounting for Chopra, Maddy and Troughton. The visitors still need a nominal 357 more but the appeal of an early dash down to Lord's to prepare for the CB40 Final would appear more likely than a length dig in.

Luke Fletcher has 3, Chris Read has 3, as Jim Troughton edges behind and it's now 32-3. The champions aren't going to end the campaign with a win here - although Rikki Clarke is out there now for a bit of a hit.

Darren Maddy goes ct behind off Luke Fletcher, who has 2-12 after earlier finishing on 42 not out. Warwicks are 30-2 and their victory target of 421 looks a long way off.

Notts declare on 469-8 with Paul Franks undefeated on 86 and Luke Fletcher on 42. They batted for just four overs this morning, leaving Warwickshire to 'chase' 421 in a minimum of 90 overs.

Barring a sudden change of heart, Notts are batting on this morning, on 444-8, with Paul Franks on 76 not out and Luke Fletcher on 27 not out. Lead is 395.

Dry start to the day and we'll kick off on time. No confirmation but suspicion is Notts will bat on for a few mins, potentially allowing Paul Franks (76*) to score his first CC ton since 2004.

Notts reach stumps on 444-8, a lead of 395. An overnight declaration would seem likely now, as the home side surely have enough runs on the board, with Steven Mullaney top scoring with 94 and Paul Franks ending unbeaten on 76
