Eoin Morgan has suffered a broken finger and will be out of action for around 10 days.

Morgan injured the digit while fielding for Middlesex in their Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Somerset on Sunday.

The England one-day captain is expected to recover from the chipped bone in his ring finger in time for the game against Scotland at the Grove on June 10.

However, he has had to withdraw from captaining the World XI against West Indies at Lord's, in the Hurricane Relief fundraiser, on Thursday night.

Yorkshire's Adil Rashid, Sam Billings of Kent and Surrey allrounder Sam Curran have been called into the squad for the game, with Shahid Afridi set to skipper the World XI in Morgan's absence.

Morgan will lead England in a five-match ODI series against Australia following the game in Scotland.

The first clash with the Aussies, who are without many of their leading players, is scheduled to take place at the Kia Oval on June 13.
