The Kensington Oval will host West Indies' first day-night Test match

The Kensington Oval in Barbados will be the venue for the first ever day-night Test match in the Caribbean.

West Indies' game against Sri Lanka - the third in the three-match series - will be played under floodlights, according to a press release from Sri Lanka Cricket on Tuesday.

This marks a change from the original scheduling, announced by Cricket West Indies in December, which claimed that the game would be staged at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia.

SRI LANKA IN WEST INDIES, 2018
Tour match: May 30 - June 1, Brian Lara Cricket Ground, Trinidad
First Test: June 6-10, Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad
Second Test: June 14-18, Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, St. Lucia
Third Test: June 23-27, Kensington Oval, Barbados (day-night)

It appears that fixture has now become the second in the series, swapping places with the Kensington Oval.

Regardless, the Barbados encounter will be the first time Sri Lanka have played at the famous stadium, on what will be their first tour of the Caribbean in a decade.

The itinerary unveiled on Tuesday has the tourists opening with a three-day warm-up match at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on May 30, prior to the first Test at Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad from June 6.
