Mohammad Amir will be fit to feature for Pakistan in the first Test against England.

Amir, the tourists' strike bowler, had been a slight doubt in the build-up to the game at Lord's due to a "chronic knee injury" in his right leg.

The issue flared up during Pakistan's one-off Test against Ireland in Malahide recently, and he was forced off the field during the third day as a result.

However, he has now recovered and will play for his country at the Home of Cricket.

Head coach Mickey Arthur confirmed his star player's availability during a press conference on Tuesday.
